We are really close friends, both love quilting, and both of us have children that are grown and out-the-house. Owning our own business has been a dream for us both for a really long time. When the chance to fulfill that dream presented itself, along with the chance to do it with something we were both passionate about, it seemed almost too good to be true.
Time has evolved, and Deborah moved to Atlanta while Jill stayed
with her family in Orlando, so it was time to be creative again!
Deborah kept Fat Quarter Quilters, and Jill started a Long-Arm
Quilting business called Fat Quarter Quilters Too! We have been on so many quilting sites and sometimes, we feel that they are only there to make the sale, not to be a part of your project. We want to work with you! We mean it when we say we want to be the most user-friendly quilting site on the web!!
We are lucky, in that we both have amazingly supportive husbands who were excited about
our business ideas as well.
We have learned so much about the quilting world and you and it has
been incredibly fulfilling for us both.
Deborah
has 2 children, both girls. The oldest, teaches elementary
students in Atlanta and is married to a fine, young man, and the youngest, finished college and is trying to make it in New York City. Deborah lives with her
husband, a stockbroker, and their poodle in a house very much in
the city of Atlanta.
Jill has 3 children. Her oldest, a son, is
finishing graduate school and will soon be heading to work at
Google. Her middle child, a girl, is finishing her graduate
degree in teaching, and the youngest, a son, is in art school. Jill’s husband is thrilled she started a business as she has been crafting for years and has always wanted to do this.
So, that’s who we are. We want you to know that we love quilting and quilters and are always happy to talk “quilt” with you. The whole idea of
www.FatQuarterQuilters.com and
www.FatQuarterQuiltersToo.com was to make
them friendly places where we could exchange ideas and make your projects come to life.
Please, please call with questions or ideas on how we can make
our sites better, more responsive, or more interesting to you, our dear customers.
Our phone number is 888-QUILTS 2 or click on our “contact
Deb & Jill” button to email us and we will get right back to you.
Thank you for visiting us!!
